The Atlas Group is a unique investment partnership founded by Diana Sterne. Our capital base is comprised of family offices of owner-operators. We invest in businesses with enterprise values between $5 and $75 million that we believe have the ability to grow over long periods of time. 


We are entrepreneurs who understand the journey of building a business. We love working with founders and management teams, and approach business building through the lens of culture and collaborative decision making.

Diana Sterne

CEO & Founder

Diana is the founder and CEO of The Atlas Group, a holding company that acquires and grows lower middle market private businesses. Diana was previously an investor at Elliott Management, a $30 billion New York-based investment firm, where she covered software, healthcare, and industrials, investing over $1 billion across the capital structure. Prior to Elliott, she was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, where she advised financial buyers on mergers, acquisitions, debt issuances and initial public offerings. Deals included IPO of Taminco, sale of Mitchell from Aurora to KKR, and financing of the buyout of HHI by American Securities. Diana holds an A.B. from Harvard College and M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
